2 If the sorrows of thy case
Seem peculiar, still to thee, |
This is still thy sweet relief,
" As thy days, thy strength shall be." |
||
|
|||
I God has promised needful grace;
"As thy days, thy strength shall be." 4 Rock of ages! I'm secure,
With Thy promise, full and free,
3 Days of trial, days of grief, Faithful, positive, and sure,
In succession thou mayst see; " As thy days, thy strength shall be."

2 Ever in the raging storm
Thou shalt see His cheering form, Hear His pledge of coming aid: " It is I, be not afraid."
3 Cast thy burden at His feet; Linger at His mercy-seat: |
He will lead thee by the hand Gently to the better land.
4 He will gird thee by His power, In thy weary, fainting hour; Lean then, loving, on His word; Cast thy burden on the Lord.
